Over the course of his nineteen year career Nenman Walbe has written, produced, and shot hundreds and hours of lifestyle content of nationally broadcast television at such channels as the Food Network, Fine Living (now Travel Channel), TV-One, Disney, BET-J (now Centric) Cooking Channel, OWN and Revolt TV. In that time Nenman has gained respect and trust amongst his peers for his creativity, passion, and his determination to meet all deadlines, no matter what obstacles confront him.
Beginning his career at the Food Network were learned the workings of the food television industry from talented seasoned producers and amazing chefs, particularly Chef Emeril Lagasse. Nenman worked on the cooking shows; Emeril Live, Essence of Emeril, and Fresh Food Fast with Emeril Lagasse.
Nenman was instrumental in launching the career of celebrity Chef G. Garvin on his first cooking show, Turn Up The Heat, on the TV-ONE network. Nenman assisted creating the shooting style and format development of G. Gavin's Cooking Channel show, Road Trip with G. Garvin, which garnered G. Garvin a nomination at the 2013 James Beard Award for Outstanding Personality/Host.
Nenman was influential in developing TV-One's Reality Docu-Drama Series, "Save My Son with Dr. Steve Perry," which was nominated for 2013 NAACP Image Award: News/Information series and was a key contributor in the show "Living It Up with Patti Labelle," working close with the musical icon.
As a story producer, he worked on Season 6 of the NAACP Award Winning show, Oprah’s Master Class. One of Nenman’s highlights of the Season 6 was that he the honor of story producing the episode of civil rights Icon, Congressman John Lewis, on Oprah’s Master Class.
Along with working on broadcast television, Nenman has immersed himself in shooting, editing and producing conscious content from digital platforms to short documentaries, and recently edited video content for the Forward Majority Action Super Pac that was instrumental in electing progressive candidates in State Legislatures in the 2018 midterm elections.
Recent work includes “We The People” on the Revolt Network as a Director of Photography, Producer, and editor, working with celebrities such as Matt McGorry from ABC’s “How to Get Away with Murder”, Michael K. Williams from HBO’s hit show “The Wire,” and United States Women’s National Soccer Team captain Megan Rapinoe. Recently Nenman stepped into the role as Assistant Director for the cable network cooking show “Butter+Brown” on Aspire.
